Fish Eyes, MIC Toi Rerehiko, Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, 2008

Fish Eyes, documents some of Hutchinson’s family history. In the work, ‘Nana’ and two of her granddaughters, who are sisters, converse about topics including 'eating fish eyes' to dialogues on 'spiders', 'stars' and 'what do you want to be when you grow up'. These conversations give insight into the matriarchal and cross-generational relationships between a grandmother and her grand daughters and those of the grand daughters and their grandmother.
